Ministry Support for a Postmodern World
How you can help parishes lead effective Christian ministry.
Christ is risen!
First, I know…
I’m three weeks behind.
I still need to write posts for the Sunday of Saint Mary of Egypt, Palm Sunday, and Pascha.
While I catch up, here’s something you may be interested in…
Back in January 2020, my team and I at Y2AM published a groundbreaking training course called Effective Christian Ministry.
It’s a roadmap the Church can use to navigate ministry in our postmodern, Secular3 world.
The course helps you:
Identify the 5 Needs we see in the lives of contemporary people,
Address the 5 Challenges that people face today,
Implement the 5 Practices of Effective Christian Ministry that help to form people into faithful—rather than former—Orthodox Christians.
(You’ll find reviews and more on the website.)
And based on that online course, in 2021 we launched a nine-month coaching process to help parish teams experience the 5 Practices of ECM and transform the way their community leads people to Christ.
Dozens of parishes have already participated and September 2023 will mark the start of our third Cohort year!
(Hear what a bishop has to say about the ECM Cohort in this video.)
Why am I sharing this?
Because the ECM Cohort is looking for Coaches to walk with parishes through this intensive and inspiring process.
Could it be you?
Check out the job description and share it with anyone you think would make a great ECM Cohort Coach!
And I’ll get back to work on a piece for the Sunday of Saint Mary of Egypt…
(Over two weeks late isn’t that bad, right?)
